Football: Dunn commits to Virginia Tech; Price changes to Virginia
It may be Super Bowl Sunday, but the decision process goes on for local high school football players. Today, Ocean Lakes wide receiver Randall Dunn committed to Virginia Tech while Great Bridge lineman Michael Price, who had previously committed to Old Dominion, said he was accepting an offer from Virginia instead. "They were always my No. 1 choice and they were always leading, but I had to go and compare other places," the 6-3, 210-pound Dunn said of Virginia Tech, which he picked over offers from many schools, including from Virginia, Connecticut, Penn State and West Virginia. "It felt like home when I went there. They gave me an opportunity to meet with some of the players and they basically told me it’s like living the life. In Blacksburg, everything evolves around the football team." Playing at Virginia Tech will also give Dunn an opportunity to play with his cousin, Maury lineman Vinston Painter.
